legally blonde rehearsals ahead of the tour opening at the liverpool empire

As a certain Delta Nu sorority would say - Ohmygodyouguys!
I spent yesterday in London interviewing cast members of the first-ever UK tour of West End smash hit musical Legally Blonde - before watching the show at the Savoy theatre in the afternoon.

The tour is kicking off in Liverpool which is great news for the city and the Empire which is getting the star dressing room ready....for Bruiser the dog. Well, Bruisers to be exact as I believe there are three of them.
As well as chatting to Liz McClarnon (who is playing beautician Paulette), Faye Brookes (Elle), Dave Willetts (Mr Calaghan), Neil Toon (Warner) and Iwan Lewis (Emmett), I had the chance to sit in rehearsals for half-an-hour which was fascinating.
The cast were putting together the courtroom scene where the defence team confront pool guy Nikos over his alleged affair with defendant Brooke Wyndham, running through the number There! Right There!
And despite never seeing the musical before, within about five minutes of sitting down in the corner to watch the scene evolve, I found I had a big silly grin all over my face.
It's clear that not only the show is great fun, but that the cast are having an absolute ball putting it together and Liz McClarnon told me they can't wait to open in Liverpool because they think the city audiences will really "get it".
No pressure! But actually, it doesn't take much to love the show, so I reckon Liz is probably right.....
