THE Royal Court is launching a series of new 'afternoon variety' shows.
The new Royal Court Variety Lunch Club is aimed at theatregoers who prefer to be entertained and get home while it is still light.

It will run throughout the year on selected Wednesday afternoons in the main theatre and is open to anyone who wants to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment, a bowl of Scouse and a cup of tea.
The afternoons will feature appearances from comedians, actors and entertainers.
Royal Court Trust chief executive Gillian Miller said: "Many older people may not have the chance to come into town in the evening or get the opportunity to meet new people and have a good laugh.
Mickey Finn, Pauline Daniels and Willie Miller have already signed up to give people a giggle.
The idea is apparently by Liverpool city council and Liverpool PCT and is part of the Year of Health & Wellbeing.
Tickets are £3, or £5 including a bowl of home-made Scouse. More details on 0151-702 5892 or www.royalcourtliverpool.com
Future dates include Wednesday, June 16 and Wednesday, July 21.
