liverpool light night cultural evening planned for the city

By Catherine Jones on Feb 10, 10 01:36 PM

Liverpool's Long Night cultural festival is to build on its success by organising a separate "Light Night" this spring.
The event on Friday, May 14 will become one of two night time city centre cultural festivals each year.

Liverpool Light Night will coincide with Museums at Night, an EU-wide festival which this year is being promoted by Culture 24, who have brought BBC History Magazine on board.
National Museums Liverpool, Tate Liverpool, the Bluecoat and FACT have already signed up, and now organisers are encouraging other venues to join them.
The deadline for any venue or organisation to express an interest and get their event in to the calendar is tomorrow.
Anyone interested should go to the culture24 website on www.culture24.org.uk and leave details including 100 words describing what you will offer, plus a photo.
The annual Long Night event will be on November 18.
