auditions for oliver! at southport theatre
Young performers are being sought to take part in Oliver! at Southport Theatre this spring.
Auditions take place for the show next Sunday, January 31 at the Adelphi hotel in Liverpool.
Producers are searching for both boys and girls with strong singing voice and good acting ability.
Rehearsals will take place during the February half term and on a weekly basis after that, and children should be available for performances from March 27 to April 3.
Boys who want to audition for the role of Oliver should be no more than 5ft tall and are asked to prepare the song Where is Love?
Those interested in playing the Artful Dodger must be no more than 5ft 2ins and will be asked to sing a verse and chorus from Consider Yourself.
Both sets of those auditions will take place from 10am to noon, while auditions will be held from 1-3pm for boy and girl orphans and Fagin's gang.
The maximum height for youngsters if 5ft 2in and they will need to prepare a verse and chorus of a song of their choice.
Producers are also looking for adults to play Fagin, Nancy and Bill Sykes, and for adult dancers.
