west kirby light operatic society to stage once upon a time at the adelphi
One of the theatrical hits of Capital of Culture year is returning to the stage for 2010.
West Kirby Light Operatic Society has won the backing of writer Phil Wilmott to stage Once Upon a Time at the Adelphi.
The show will be produced at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton in May as the centrepiece of the society's diamond jubilee year celebrations.
Writer Mr Wilmott will also act as executive producer.
Now the society is searching for performers to take on the musical's two central characters, with open auditions taking place on Monday, December 14.
The roles are Thompson - a tenor aged 20 and upwards, and Young Alice, either a soprano or alto again aged 20 plus.
Anyone interested in auditioning must be able to sing, act and dance.
