henry winkler in liverpool for peter pan
Henry Winkler - how lovely is he?
The Fonz (as we can't help but call him in this office) has taken to life in Liverpool like a duck to water, shopping for groceries in Sainsbury and chatting to all and sundry in the street.
When I spoke to him on the phone before he arrived for his stint as Captain Hook in Peter Pan he was warm, friendly and interesting and it seems he's now spreading the Winkler glasnost around him wherever he goes.
Knowing Liverpool I'm sure people will give him a typically warm welcome, without of course hounding the man with poor impressions of Fonzie catchphrases!
I also hope he enjoys the derby this weekend - although I know which way I'd prefer him to be rooting.
I'm looking forward to seeing him on stage now with Natasha Hamilton and Les Dennis when Pan opens at the Empire in a fortnight. Oh yes I am! aaaaaayyyyyyyy
