fonzie henry winkler to play captain hook in peter pan at liverpool

Hey! Arthur Fonzarelli - aka the Fonz aka Henry Winkler - is on his way to Liverpool.
The 63-year-old American actor is donning a wig and hook to play baddie Captain Hook in this year's panto Peter Pan.
And Liverpool favourite Les Dennis is also back. This time in a frock!

Last year the Empire revealed its panto line-up early on in the summer, but we've been waiting and waiting with baited breath to see who would be treading the boards at the Lime Street theatre in 2009.
This will be Henry Winkler's FOURTH outing as Hook following Christmas seasons at Wimbledon, Woking and Milton Keynes so he should have the panto pirate to perfection by now.
And there's a new panto "hero" in town too in the guise of Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton who will play Peter Pan 'himself' in her first Christmas show. Not a bad start to her own panto career.
Les is apparently looking forward to returning to the scene of his triumphant Buttons of 2008.
He told the ECHO: "I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be coming back to the Liverpool Empire for the second year running. I had the best time last year.
"To be at home for Christmas is fantastic and the Liverpool audiences are just great! This time you get to see me in a frock as well - that is not to be missed, I can't wait to get started!"
So there you have it.
