keith carter and coco chanel

Has anyone gone for a look on Keith Carter's new Echo blog yet? The alter ego of Nige (I like to think of them that way round!!) has started writing about life, comedy and preparing for marriage on our website.
I love the way he says he gets told off for referring to his wedding reception as a "gig". Although apparently some poor misguided Liverpool groom did book "Nige" for his own wedding reception once. By all accounts the bride didn't appear to be over the moon.
Can't imagine why.

Talking, loosely, of marriage, I went to a press viewing of Coco Before Chanel (Coco Avant Chanel to be precise, it's in French with subtitles) which is out next week.
You'll have to wait until July 31 if you're interested in hearing my verdict, but Chanel had a less than conventional love life and never married. According to the film, the man she really loved was never free to marry her and their relationship came to a tragic end.
I don't envy her life but (shallow, yes I know) I wish I were a bit thinner. Unfortunately, I had this thought as I bit into a piece of lemon drizzle cake (Audrey Tautou's Coco appeared to survive on cigarettes) so I'm not sure it's a realistic wish really.
