jonathan pryce coming 'home' to the everyman
In case there's anyone out there who still doesn't know, Jonathan Pryce - one of the Everyman Theatre's greatest "exports" is coming home this autumn.
The award-winning star of stage, screen and some of the world's biggest musicals, will play Davies the tramp in the late Harold Pinter's The Caretaker.
I caught up with the actor as he was filming this Christmas's series of Cranford and talked to him about what he has decribed as a "nostalgia" trip back to the theatre where he started his acting career.
Of course it has extra nostalgia value because of last Friday's announcement that the theatre is going to be completely rebuilt.
The article in today's Echo was trimmed slightly for space, but you'll find the full version on the Liverpool Echo website.
