We've heard the immortal lines "you could be Maria" and "you could be Joseph".
Well, for one man reading the ECHO today - or maybe alerted to it by a mum, dad or girlfriend - it could soon be a case of "you WILL be Magaldi".
Today in an unprecedented move, we team up with Bill Kenwright and fellow director Bob Tomson to find the man who will portray the Argentinian singer in a new national touring production of Evita.
Magaldi was the man who took Eva Peron to Buenos Aires and started her journey towards legendary status.
Bill Kenwright is convinced there is a Magaldi out there in Merseyside and that the ECHO is the ideal way to track him down.
And he admitted to me: "I have no fears or worries.
"When I was on the panel of Any Dream Will Do we got down to the last 15 and I thought to myself, is there a Joseph here?
"But there will be some 30-year-old guy out there who knocks us for six."
Well, Bill, don't fret. As someone who picked Lee Mead out at the audition stage and said "that's him" (I also backed Connie Fisher from the word go, so not a bad strike rate!), maybe you should have me on the auditioning panel!!!
And after all, since he had that momentary wobble about Joseph early on, he's cast no fewer than FOUR of the finalists in his own touring production of the show, and Seamus - remember him, the cocky curly-haired one who sang about being given "a show of my own" when he was turfed off Any Dream Will Do - as his new Che.
Make no mistake, this search for Magaldi is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for one young man around here to join the circus, join the show that is Evita.
Go for it - it's no illusion.
