Apparently Paul McCartney is a dab hand at mixing a margarita.
Macca has been sunning himself in 98F degree temperatures in Morocco this week but also took time out to teach staff at his hotel how to mix the perfect cocktail.
Brother Mike explained what had been going on when we had a chat at the opening of the Walker Art Gallery's Art in the Age of Steam exhibition last night.
He told me: "I've just come back from Morocco where I've been with our kid. It was great to get some warmth."
Anyway, they were staying in some luxury hotel and Paul decided the margaritas on offer were not as top notch as they could have been. So by all accounts he got involved in a quick margarita masterclass.
The owner of the hotel happened to be called Rita, so the ex-Beatle christened his concoction a "Maccarita".
I suppose he could have also gone for a Lovely Marga-Rita.
Anyway, I also bumped into Roger McGough lwhile I was looking around the exhibition.
He's in the city while rehearsals take place for his new version of Moliere's Tartuffe which opens at the Playhouse next month, and they seem to be going pretty well.
As Mike McCartney pointed out, all we needed was John Gorman to turn up and they could have given us a special Scaffold performance!
