creative city

Is Liverpool a creative city?
Is the proverbial Pope a Catholic?!
The city's creative roll comes under the microscope at a debate at the Maritime Museum next week.

The discussion is the fourth in a series of public forums giving people the opportunity to learn about and comment on the main themes that the new Museum of Liverpool will focus on.
Museum bosses have brought together a heavyweight bunch to lead the discussion with Phil Redmond posing the opening no brainer question of whether Liverpool is a creative city?
Ray Physick, author of Played in Liverpool, will talk about the idea of sport as a form of creative expression.
Norris Green born Mr P is currently researching his PhD on the development of swimming in Liverpool from 1846-1914. He is also joint editor of a forthcoming book on Liverpool history and culture dur to be published later this year.
And Paul Du Noyer, legendary music journalist and author of Liverpool:Wondrous Place, will be discussing how creative outputs from Liverpool have informed perceptions of the city.
It should be a lively evening and the museum is saying although it's free, people really need to book early (478 4543) to secure a place.
