Last night was the busiest for some considerable time in Liverpool and gave a taste of what it could be like during Capital of Culture year.
You couldn't move in town for some launch, or party, or event or awards ceremony.
First off - congratulations to all the winners in the DaDaFest awards for 2007. Unfortunately I couldn't get to the ceremony at the Crowne Plaza, but it was attended by the likes of Phil Redmond, Warren Bradley and Mike McCartney.
And a special congratulations to my cousin Liz Crow who won the new media accolade. She wasn't able to attend and pick up her award in person, but apparently she got an awful lot of votes and is very well respected as a film-maker.
It runs in the family. Her mum, my auntie Barbara (a Merchant Taylors girl) is a fantastic Slade-trained artist, and my elder cousin Judith works in the industry in Los Angeles.
I saw Mike McCartney earlier in the evening at the launch of the ICE07 festival, of which he is a patron, in the ECHO Atrium.
If people have the chance they should try and see the exhibition of fabulous Icelandic art and products which are on show in the atrium during the festival which runs until Sunday.
There's also music at Barfly, Icelandic films at FACT, Icelandic menus at Room in Castle Street, photography at the Albert Dock and tomorrow there's a service with the Icelandic Ambassador at St Nicholas Church.
Next year the event will become NICE 2008 and will include all the Norse countries.
From ICE I went up to Alma de Cuba for the launch of Brouhaha's 2008 programme, complete with carnival performers.
Elsewhere there was the Late at Tate event with Hot Club de Paris, the alternative Turner Prize launch at View Two, a dinner for the 2008 World Firefighter Games, and the Radio City Local Heroes event at the Royal Court.
Phew.
It's enough to make you crave a lie in.
And that's only one night.
Imagine what 2008 will be like......
