Another weekend, another trip to Poland (if you're going take your thermals - it's freezing) - and another slew of culture stories.
Note to Liverpool Culture Company/City Council....I've run out of holiday entitlement now, so there will ne no more sneaking out your latest gem while I'm waiting for my case at JLA's Ringo Starr baggage carousel!
Last time it was MTV and Jason's sick leave.
This time it was the Mathew Street Festival report.....and Jason's sick leave.
Leaving aside the ongoing Harborow health situation and whether he will ever come back, we finally got the much anticipated and hugely delayed festival fiasco report.
How I wished I could have been here to pick at it.
Unsurprisingly, after all the time and all the revisions, there were no surprises to be found.
The blame was laid at the feet of two men who have already departed - although I was interested to see it did talk about the channelling on MSF funds into the April 23 son et lumiere event.
That particular show was primarily a Mike Storey 'production', with support from council leader Warren Bradley.
I recall at the time how Mike was very keen and pushed for the light and sound show to go ahead as part of the opening celebrations for St George's Hall.
It was an interesting show to watch.
But (and yes, I know hindsight is a wonderful thing) if everyone had realised at the time what an unholy mess it would cause four months later, I hope sense would have prevailed and it would have been cancelled at an early stage.
Anyway, at some point soon we all need to draw a line under this embarrassing shambles and start working to make sure the 2008 Mathew Street Festival is a stunner.
No one. And I mean NO ONE, can afford another cock-up of such epic proportions during Capital of Culture year.
Mathew Street Festival 2007 is a warning shot. An expensive, depressing, warning shot - but a warning all the same.
