liverpool saga

Posted by Catherine Jones on September 11, 2007 10:33 AM |

Very exciting!
I've been given a sneak preview of the 800-verse Liverpool Saga which Roger McGough will launch at St George's Hall on Saturday.
And a few of my own humble lines have made the grade.

I think people will be fascinated to read the final, finished article which - incidently - runs to 20 pages of A4 paper.
All human, animal and inhuman (I don't think I'm betraying any confidences to reveal that a certain notorious Germanic visitor gets a mention) life is there.
Some of the lines submitted made me laugh out loud, while others made me feel my rhyming couplets were woefully inadequate.
But it's the taking part that matters.
And I can't wait to hear McGough recite extracts of it during the Big History Show event at the weekend.
