britain's favourite view

Posted by Catherine Jones on August 31, 2007 9:13 AM |

We're up against the Lake District and the White Cliffs of Dover.
But this weekend Jamie Redknapp will try and convince Britain our World Heritage waterfront is the country's favourite view.

Good luck to him - and it will be interesting to see what angles they managed to film at to avoid the cranes, the rubble and the frankly depressing architecture of Princes Dock.
Maybe they should have been on the river on Tuesday night when the waterfront was lit up, the moon was full, the two cathedrals could be seen glowing in the distance and 50 tonnes of fireworks were set off.
Liverpool won't win.
But it's still beautiful to me.
