You would have to be living as a hermit in Bhutan not to notice the 'Petrenko effect' on Liverpool audiences and RLPO box office receipts.
But the effect of Liverpool on the young Russian must have been pretty good too for him to commit to the city so early on in his tenure at Hope Street.
