Good news for Haley Flaherty - the audience seemed to really like her.
Haley is the actress who has had to step in to the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago currently on at the Empire.
Jennifer Ellison was supposed to be playing Roxie but managed to dislocate her knee.

Ah, it makes you proud to be a (adopted) Scouser.
Thousands of people have been pouring in to St George's Hall since it opened to the public on Monday afternoon.
It shows what massive interest there is out there in the city.

Rather like Christmas, the preparations had gone on for months but the actual St George's Day came and went in a blur yesterday.
And after a fortnight of sunshine and blue skies, it was sod's law it tipped it down for most of the day.

liver birds

I HEAR there are plans for a new sitcom billed as a modern-day take on the Liver Birds.
The ITV show is being created by Peep Show writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong and will feature two women, about to reach their thirties, and sharing a flat.

Liverpool's 800th birthday stamps were unveiled at the Town Hall today.
But you can't use them to send letters or parcels from Liverpool to anywhere else in the world.

I had a twirl on the Minton floor at St George's Hall this morning.
They have taken the wooden coverings off and are giving it a good clean in advance of the reopening on April 23.

princes, paupers and the flying trapeze

SO they have finally announced that Prince Charles will reopen St George's Hall on April 23.
Security concerns mean the royals only give two weeks' notice for their official visits these days, but everyone has been beavering away behind the scenes for months.
