oh brother......

Posted by Catherine Jones on January 18, 2007 11:25 AM |

A lot of column inches have already been filled with concern and disgust over the current crew inhabiting the Celebrity Big Brother house.
What a bunch of idiots, bullies, cowards and morons they have turned out to be.
But while they are merrily bringing disrepute to Britain, one is also helping to heap shame on Britain's Capital of Culture.

Danielle Lloyd has always seemed dull but harmless to me, a nice enough girl who has at least had enough nous (before now that is) to know what she's good at.
She is never going to be a Mastermind champion, 9 GCSEs or not (don't get this O Level girl started on the standard of today's exams), and I presume she knows it.
But her current display of cruel dimwittedness and lemming-like behaviour has done her no favours, Britain no favours - and it has done Liverpool no favours either.
Richard Marbrow says in today's ECHO that he hopes viewers don't think she is typical of the people of Merseyside.
Unfortunately I fear that is just what they WILL think.
Everytime this 'world in one city' tries to get across the message that it is vibrant, attractive and exciting and not just a grubby grey hole full of workshy scally ratboys, along comes someone or something to undo all the good work.
Gormless Goody may be the ringleader, but it is dimwit Danielle who has made the running with the unacceptable comments.
She claimed she once wanted to be a forensic scientist, but she's more clueless than Cluedo.
Racism and bullying are unacceptable full stop.
And Liverpool doesn't need this kind of negative press at any time, but especially not now.
I hope the people of this city make it quite clear to Danielle how ashamed of her they are.
